Maybe it is time for Roy Nelson to drop to light heavyweight

Nelson

Ok, we all love “Big Country” Roy Nelson. His Babe Ruth’ish physique partnered with his slugging power and iron chin makes him a likeable and fun fighter. Following his decision loss to Josh Barnett back in September though, Nelson’s record dropped to 20-12, but more notably, it was his fifth loss in his last six outings.  Yes, Nelson is a streaky fighter and can end any fight with one punch, but there will come a time when he must make the dreaded weight cut to remain relevant in any title hunt.

Right now, Nelson is a gate-keeper for the heavyweight division. Come on Roy, get in the gym, make what could be an easy cut, and get back into a championship picture. The light heavyweight division wouldn’t know what hit it.
